 The organisers of the Wales Carp Masters have announced the date for the final which will be held from 28th to 30th September 2007. All the successful pairs winning through to the final will fish Elysium (Lake 6) at Celtic Lakes Resort to battle for the £20,000 prize money.
Qualifiers have been taking place throughout the summer at 5 venues throughout Wales. The final qualifier at Celtic Lakes Resort takes place over the weekend of 3-5 August 2007. The last qualifier at Celtic Lakes in June saw an amazing match won with a staggering 609lb 15oz of fish from the winning pair.
The Wales Carp Masters despite only being in its first year is already one of the richest carp fishing events in the world with a staggering £20,000 prize fund being divided up as follows:
The winning pair will receive the following:
- £10,001 cheque
- Trophy
- Wales Carp Masters winner’s jackets
- Selection of products from sponsors
- Title of Wales Carp Masters 2007
- Entry into the 2007 World Carp Classic
- Complimentary entry into the 2008 Wales Carp Masters
The 2nd place pair will receive £4000 worth of angling products *
The 3rd place pair will receive £2000 worth of angling products *
The 4th place pair will receive £1000 worth of angling products *
* 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed pairs all receive complimentary entry into the 2008 Wales Carp Masters
