Four heats of the 2008 Wales Carp Masters have now taken place at Celtic Lakes with eight pairs of carp anglers already through to the final. Despite some atrocious weather during qualifying, some impressive weights have already been recorded by the winning pairs.

Heat 1:
Winners - James Willatts & Lee Botchett - 350lb
Runners up - Nigel Davies & Robbie Davies - 172lb
Heat 2:
Winners - Ian Carter & Paul Hatton - 237lb 15oz
Runners Up - Gary Wady & Pat "No Fingers" - 137lb 6oz
Heat 3:
Winners - Justin Hooper & John Keirle- 348lb 11oz
Runners Up - Paul Xuereb & Shane Heke - 292lb 14oz
Heat 4:
Winners - Jason Callaghan & Steve Blow - 194lb 2oz
Runners Up - Spencer Partridge and Ross Partridge - 156lb 11oz
There are still places available in the remaining two heats.
